Saturday Workshop: Writing for Kids and Teens

Do you have an idea for a picture book or a novel for kids or teens? Do you dream of getting it published?

In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn all about the art and business of children’s book writing. What appeals to young readers? What are publishers looking for? How do you submit to agents and editors? The publishing world can often be confusing. John will break it all down for you and set you on the right path.

The class will be a warm and supportive environment where all questions are welcome. We’ll share our story ideas and get tips for how to get your story to shine. It will also be a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who are interested in writing for young readers.

The workshop will be held at John’s house on the banks of the lovely Eno River near downtown Hillsborough. A healthy lunch and snacks will be provided. $100 (8 students max)

To save your spot, contact John. Spots will fill quickly.
